Fast-firing machineguns and shotguns take down these small AI enemies faster in comparason, but at the end of the day its PvE and almost anything works. Missiles have long reload times / take time to detonate based on which ones youre using, and essentially every shot is gonna take out one raider then you'll have to wait to reload. The thing about PVE is you'll face a bunch of tiny enemies.
